Julius Nkafu was called to the English Bar at the Inner Temple in 2014 and called to the Cameroon Bar in 2006. He was enrolled as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of E&W in 2002. He obtained his first degree in law in the University of Yaoundé Cameroon, CPE, LLM in London, England as well as PGCE and PGC in Transnational Oil & Gas and Energy Law, in England.
Julius has extensive expertise in Alternative Disputes Resolution – Arbitration, Mediation, and conciliation. He is an expert in International Arbitration, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
Julius sits as arbitrator as well as does Counsel work as a Direct Access Barrister, authorised to conduct litigation. He has experience as sole arbitrator as well as member of panel.
He is a member of the panels of Arbitrators with the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), the Common Court of Justice and Arbitration (CCJA) OHADA, the Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (CRCICA), and the International Chambers of Commerce (ICC). He is a member of the Sanctions and Appeals Board (SAB) of the African Development Bank Group and has over 23 years’ legal experience working in the City of London and Cameroon, acting for and against individuals, investors, and corporates.
